How to Fix Workshop password problem

Occasionally, and randomly, the workshop wifi will ask you for a password. Here's how to fix it. Apologies we can't do this remotely.

1.             Go into breakfast room and try to access the Wifi ‘Guest Workshop’. If it is asking for a password then something is wrong

2.             With your tablet or pc, open a browser and type the following into where you normally type a search or website name: 192.168.1.73 and press enter. This accesses the settings of the first of the two wifi boosters.

3.             It should come up with a screen likely branded Devolo and showing these menu options on the left hand side:

4.             Click on WLAN configuration

5.             It will show another list of options

6.  Select Access Point

7.  The next page should have headings Settings, then Security. Under Security select the following option:

No Encryption (not recommended)

8.             If there’s a save button or option, click it to exit the screen and save the setting

9.             Repeat the process for the 2nd wifi booster starting again at step (2) using: 192.168.1.186

We choose 'no encryption' to avoid the need for passwords. We are in the middle of nowhere so aren't worried about the wifi being used by others.
